So, obviously this is going to be my first post for this. I am doing this in hopes that it helps me to maintain a day to day accountability for logging my food consumption and losing the remaining 130 pounds I need to lose to reach my target.
I weighed in this morning at 314.8 pounds. I am only 5' 9", so I am what they call "Morbidly Obese". Nice term, huh. It is morbid. Basically I am on the fast track to not seeing my children married, or having children of their own, and they are in high school now. I have tried a number of different ways to get this weight off, and thought this might help.
For all those that are thinking "Gastric Bypass", thanks, my Doctor has suggested I should be thinking about it, but he has not out and out suggested it. He would like me to lose it the old fashion way, and so would I. Not that I have anything against Gastric Bypass, I would just prefer not to go that route if I can help it.
I am planning on posting my Weight Watchers Points log here daily as a way of enforcing my accountability. This does not indicate in any way that Weight Watchers endorses this blog. They do not.
Also, I may rant totally off the weight loss topic here some days. That will be my vent to keep from eating for comfort. Sorry if my rants bore you, but my family shouldn't be the only ones made to suffer. These rants may be about History, The Bible, Patriotism, The Military, etc...
You are welcome to comment on any of my posts. However, you need to know, I am happy for you to present your point of view in a logical, respectful, cogent manner, but will not tolerate bashing of myself or any other posters. I reserve the right to determine the definition of "bashing", and I reserve the right to delete or block anyone's comments here that I feel are inappropriate or irreverent. If you can't be civil, go somewhere else.
I am considering enabling the Ad Sense on here. This in no way indicates any support by myself or Weight Watchers of any of the Ads shown here.
Well, that is enough for now. I will be posting my points count for the day later. I hope everyone has a glorious day.
